Sold Out — Our First Batch Of Circadians!

There are certain moments when running a new business where you stop for a second and think, how has this actually happened?

This is one of those moments.

Our first batch of Circadian watches has sold out.

Even writing that feels strange. When I started Kaya Watch Co., I had no idea where it would take me. I had an idea of the kind of watches I wanted to make, an idea of the brand I wanted to build and a lot of ambition, but none of that came with any guarantee that people would actually care about what I was doing.

You can spend months designing a watch, changing small details, looking at samples, worrying about whether you've made the right decisions and imagining someone wearing it, but there is always that question sitting in the back of your mind.

Will anyone actually want one?

Thankfully, you've answered that question for me.

Sold Out

Seeing the Circadian collection sell through its first batch is something I'm incredibly proud of.

Not because selling watches is the end goal, but because every order represents someone making the decision to put their trust in something that I've created.

For a small independent watch company, that means a lot more than I can really put into words.

Kaya Watch Co. isn't a huge company with a warehouse full of watches or a team of hundreds of people behind it. It's something I've built from the ground up, one decision at a time.

That makes moments like this feel very personal.

I still remember when Kaya Watch Co. was little more than an idea. I was working on watches at my own workbench, learning, experimenting, repairing pieces and slowly figuring out what I wanted the brand to become.

At the time, I could never have imagined that I'd eventually be sitting here writing about another collection selling out.

And somehow, here we are.

More Than Just a Watch

One of the things I've come to appreciate most through building Kaya Watch Co. is that a watch can mean something completely different to the person wearing it.

For me, the Circadian carries a lot of history. It was influenced by my great-grandfather's 1952 Olma, by old watches that I've admired over the years and by the things I've learned while working with watches myself.

But once it leaves my hands, that story becomes yours.

Maybe you'll wear it every day. Maybe it'll come out for special occasions. Maybe it'll travel with you, sit on your wrist through long days at work or eventually be passed down to someone else.

I don't know what its story will be.

And that's probably the best part.

A watch can start with one person's idea but eventually become part of somebody else's life.

Thank You

I genuinely don't know how to properly thank everyone who has supported Kaya Watch Co.

There have been people who bought the first watches when the brand was still incredibly small, people who have shared posts, recommended the company to friends, left comments, given me feedback, offered advice and simply followed along with what I'm building.

Every one of those things has helped.

There are also people behind the scenes who have helped turn what starts as an idea in my head into something I can actually put on someone's wrist. Designing a watch is one thing, but getting it manufactured, assembled, photographed, packaged and eventually into the hands of a customer is a completely different process.

There have been plenty of challenges along the way and plenty of moments where I've questioned whether I've made the right decision.

But every time something like this happens, it reminds me why I started.

From an Idea to Something Real

I think that's the part I'm most grateful for.

Kaya Watch Co. started with an idea.

An idea that maybe I could create watches that I'd genuinely want to wear myself. Watches that weren't trying to follow every trend, but instead had their own identity and could hopefully still look just as good years from now.

The fact that other people have seen something in that idea and decided to support it is something I don't take lightly.

It's easy to look at a finished watch and see the case, the dial, the hands and the movement.

What you don't see are all the hours that went into getting there. The drawings, revisions, samples, mistakes, decisions and moments of doubt.

You also don't see the people who helped along the way.

That's why this isn't just a thank you for buying a watch.

It's a thank you for helping make Kaya Watch Co. real.

What's Next?

Selling out our first batch is an amazing milestone, but it doesn't feel like the end of anything.

If anything, it makes me want to keep pushing.

There are more ideas in my head than I could probably ever turn into watches, and I'm excited to see which ones eventually make it onto the workbench.

For now, though, I want to take a moment to appreciate this.

Another batch sold out.

Another collection now belongs to people all over the world.

And a little idea that started at a workbench in Manchester continues to become something far bigger than I ever expected.

So, genuinely, from me to everyone who has bought a Kaya, followed the journey, shared a post, given me advice or simply believed in what I'm trying to build:

Thank you.

I couldn't do this without you.
