StoneWorks collection sold out

When A Vision Became Something More
There are moments in life that you imagine over and over again, but no amount of imagining prepares you for when they actually happen.
The launch of the StoneWorks collection was one of those moments.
For months, the Silver Lapis and Gold Lapis models had lived only on my computer screen, pen and pad drawings, CAD models, on my workbench and in countless conversations with suppliers, manufacturers family and friends. They were ideas that slowly became drawings, drawings that became prototypes, and eventually prototypes that became finished watches. I had stared at these dials so many times that they almost became ordinary to me. But I knew that, one day, they would no longer belong only to me—they would belong to everyone who chose to wear one.
That thought was both exciting and terrifying.

When launch day arrived, I honestly had no expectations. Like any first-time founder, I had every imaginable scenario running through my mind. Maybe people would like them. Maybe they'd take a few months to sell. Maybe I'd spend the next year slowly building awareness one watch at a time.
What I never expected was for both models to sell out in under a week.
I still remember refreshing my inbox and watching the orders come through. At first, it felt surreal. I assumed the excitement would slow after the first day, but it didn't. Every notification felt like another reminder that someone, somewhere in the world, had connected with something I'd created.
By the time the final watches had sold, I just sat there staring at the screen.
I don't think it really registered for quite a while.
People often imagine moments like that as explosive celebrations, but for me it was strangely quiet. It was disbelief more than anything. After spending so long wondering whether anyone would understand the vision behind Kaya Watch Co., suddenly there was undeniable proof that they did.
That feeling is difficult to put into words.
There was pride, of course, not because the watches had sold, but because people saw value in something that had existed only as an idea in my head. Every purchase represented trust. Someone had chosen to spend their hard-earned money on a watch from a completely new independent brand because they believed in the story I was trying to tell.
As a founder, that's something you never take for granted.

What made it even more meaningful was seeing photographs from customers once their watches arrived. The same lapis stone that had captivated me on a quiet street in Trapani was now on wrists in different countries, beginning entirely new stories of its own.
That was always the dream.
StoneWorks was never intended to be about producing thousands of identical watches. Natural stone ensures that every dial is slightly different. Every vein, every fleck of pyrite and every shade of royal blue is unique, meaning every owner has something that will never be replicated exactly.
Watching those unique pieces find homes around the world was incredibly rewarding.
Looking back now, selling out wasn't the achievement that mattered most.
The real achievement was the reassurance that Kaya Watch Co. was heading in the right direction.
It proved that there are people who appreciate thoughtful proportions over oversized trends. People who value natural materials with genuine stories. People who enjoy understated design that can be worn every day rather than just admired in a watch box.
It confirmed that there is room for a small independent brand to create watches with purpose.
Most importantly, it gave me the confidence to keep building.
To everyone who purchased a StoneWorks watch, whether you chose the cool elegance of the Silver Lapis or the warmth of the Gold Lapis, thank you. Your support has meant more than you probably realise. You didn't simply buy a watch; you gave life to an idea and helped turn Kaya Watch Co. from a concept into a real company.
Every independent brand begins with someone taking a chance.
You took that chance on me.
For that, I will always be immensely grateful.
The StoneWorks collection will always hold a special place in the story of Kaya Watch Co. Not because of its initial success, but because it marked the moment I realised that this dream wasn't mine alone anymore. It had become something shared by a growing community of people.
And for me, that's only the beginning.
